Sovereign Satellite Constellations

All of the Internet for each country is now a constellation of sovereign satellites. While there were outliers for a number of years, and there were struggles between countries for a couple of decades, most of the volatile activity has settled down. If are in a country, you will connect to that countries sovereign network, there are no exceptions, and loading the web or mobile applications from other countries is handled via closely monitored and negotiated packet trade agreements.

Of course there is software that will spoof a satellite connection, tricking into thinking you are located in that country, but the usage of this illegal software has been dramatically reduced through rapid response police units in modern countries, and drone strikes in any other country. All traffic via sovereign satellite constellations are monitored in real time, any rogue traffic or traffic outside normal patterns are isolated, traced, and eliminated usually within 30 minutes of transmission.

All Internet traffic is done through satellites now to ensure that it is monitored and enforced, as well as international exchanges are accounted for. With the financialization of everything on the web, international exchanges are considered as part of the overall economic landscape. Most countries utilize sovereign applications that are developed as part of their own IT groups, but there are always some exceptions as well as tourist traffic for entertainment and other purposes.

As with unsanctioned traffic via sovereign satellites, rogue satellites are eliminated per multilateral agreements between countries. Of course there are local community and regional wireless networks still in use, but these are home grown outfits and you cannot have a website that is used by anyone under 20 years old, or considered a legitimate part of any business. These wireless radio network with ephemeral servers are much harder to police, but methods are getting more sophisticated.

If you need a real-time map of sovereign satellite constellations, just let me know I will send you a link to the official system. You will receive a view of the constellation based upon your access levels and role in the Internet. Per the regulation you should be able to see nodes, as well as individual satellites, and drill down into the traffic, or based upon users. But remember, all your searches are logged, and there is no viewing of the Internet that isn’t audited by someone at some point.
