I have done the same job for over 25 years. I wouldn’t say I love my job, but it is all I have known. My job has done me well and I enjoy providing for my family. Last week I was given a digital punch card and was told to do my job each day for 43 days, and my activities would be captured on the punch card. Once done, my services would no longer be needed, and my job is terminated.
I came up with the idea for the process I used to execute my work each day. I have made 387 modifications to the process over 25 years. I will be spending the next 43 days drawing pictures of birders, producing 43 separate birds over the next couple of weeks. What do birds have to do with my job? Nothing. I just like birds a lot. My job is something different than birds.
